I was hoping for a little more dialogue in this one.

At this point if you find this kind of page challenging I’m assuming you’re a first time reader. Welcome! Thanks for joining us. Raven’s Dojo is written as a comic BOOK not a comic STRIP. The distinction is important. A strip’s goal is to be amusing in a concise fashion. Brevity is the soul of wit (etc). I’m telling you a story. While I aim to amuse my goal is also to tell a tale. One of my goals is clarity. So I use words as needed. There are pages (like this one) where necessity requires more dialogue. Then there will be pages with no words at all! I’m aware a text heavy comic experience can be a challenge so while my writing style leans towards the verbose (Due to my preference for wordplay) I try to keep things from becoming a slog. That said , this page is composed of 3 panels of jokes. 1 panel of plot progression. And a panel of exposition necessary since the information (while redundant to long time readers) hasn’t been mentioned once in this entire 2 issue arc. This is less than 2 minutes of reading. You can do it! I have faith in you!

Dornail looks like a Hungry Hungry Hippo in panel 2.

I have issues with people who get uppity when it’s a wordy page, but I’ll keep them to myself to preserve the spirit of peace and perversion that abides here.
