P.S. Stazz points out the page is symmetrical to the opposing page! Good eye. I forgot to mention that these pages were designed with the printed page in mind (as is most of this comic). To me i felt it’d create a sense of them being surrounded by the undead army. Their presence all around them.

  • Jiala

O.O Yeowch, did he just pull it out of his chest the wrong way? … makes me wonder if Rodney is just a heartless killing machine. *buhdumdumtish*

    But kinda awesome page. \o/

    • Raven

Guess we learned he’s a gutless AND spineless too!! *YEAAAOW!* Welcome to the page, Jiala! Be sure to gussy up yer postification with a gravatar

      • Jiala

        Erf… not sure how? WordPress main site and gravatar both keep telling me my password is incorrect, but I can log in through here just fine. X.x;;

        • Raven

Give me some time, I’ll snoop around and see what gives!

  • http://www.needcomics.com/Locus/ Adam Black

Even the zombie readers dig the sword fight…but why did those innocent rain droplets have to die?

    WHYYYY?!?!?!

    • Raven

Elementary dear Watson! They were evil, ACID rain drops!! Save the planet, Kids. That or develop lightning fast sword play with which to combat pollutants.

  • Joe England

Whaddyawannabet he’ll have completely healed that devastating injury by comic after next?

    • Raven

Actually I’d say it’s pretty darn close to healed already!! (check the transition from kaboom on his innards to the final panel). Tampax to the rescue!!!

      • Joe England

I was wondering what that was.

  • Silvermane

Epic swordplay kills droplets, it’s a fact. Rodney is one powerful dude, I don’t know anyone that could pull a Katana-volver handle and all through their torso and keep fighting.

  • Fat Badger

Yet another abselutely awestrikingly awesome page of awesomeness! Love that Silencio just decides to fire the gun when Rodney uses it to parry with.
Furthermore we have learned that Silencio have balls of steel, both metaphorically and litterally, A: He attempts to defeart something completely indestructable, which adapts to anything Silencio throws at it and B: He used less time getting back on track after having been heeled in the nads than Rodney used when he were booted in the bawls.
Y’know Raven, the more of this fight we see the more I am rooting for Silencio… Die Rodney! DIE!
And after Rodney kill Dornail but become so mortally wounded that you cannot stop zombie me from takeing over the world! Aaahahahah!

    • Raven

      It’s official…Your zombie will wear a “Team Silencio” T-Shirt.

      • Fat Badger

Really? Awesome! Raven if you put such up for print I am SO ordering one!
Fav char list top 3 everybody!
        1. Silencio.
        2. Rosetta.
        3. Dornail

(secret number 1. Raven for giving us countless of hours of fun.)

  • kuehnau

This page is pretty action packed and I love it and I also know I am going to seem like the only person here asking this, but why the hell is Rodney invincible? He has basically shrugged off every single attack thrown at him, including ones that should have disemboweled him. I hope you touch base on this topic later on.

    • Murch

You can only disembowel something if it has traditional bowels. Never forget that both Rodney and Dornail a universal singularities. T’ain’t nothin’ else like ‘em anywhere.

And, not to sound snarky, but this sort of thing seems to come up fairly regularly so I feel inclined to rebut clearly. Showing the massive wound in his stomach healing quickly is directly “touching base on the topic”. He shows Rodney healing really quickly from horrible wounds. This means Rodney has the power to heal quickly from horrible wounds. Questioning that makes a much sense as questioning his crazy-ass attacks. You either accept the premise of the comic (that R & D are badass superheroes who have saved the world over and over again) and move on, or you don’t.

      • Murch

Okay, that might still sound snarky. Sorry, I just hear “but WHY does the yellow sun give him the powers?” when this comes up.

You don’t have to question every part of the awesome, people, just kick back and feels you some awe!

        • Raven

I really do think it’s something folks forget that these two have saved the world several times. Must be anti-perceptech induced amnesia!

    • Raven

There are ways to really put the hurt on Rodney and Dornail. They can even die. All this will be touched upon in due time. In the pre C.O.C.K.S. time frame everyone just accepts it without question. Silencio doesn’t really question it since his mind is free of the mind wipe. For this story arc, I wanted folks to see a pre C.O.C.K.S level power house (Silencio-Buffalo-Fire Eyes-the rest of the magnificent 7). But rest assured… In time you’ll see stories pertaining to the mind wipe, the C.O.C.K.S., and much much more. I’m planning on doing this comic as long as I live so no worries on unanswered questions.

    • kuehnau

I’ve been reading Raven’s Dojo for quite awhile now, and I understand that the characters are supposed to be some big time heroes. I also understand that this is a online comic and that it has no need to have any realistic tendency.

I just happen to have a problem with over-powered characters. I fucking HATED super man and you know why? Because of the ridiculous feats he would often pull off, in comics, cartoons and movies.

On the other hand, I loved Dragonball Z, but the characters were still destructible. They could still get hurt, they could still die (even if there were means on brining them back).

Unless there is a element of danger, then the entire thing is completely and utterly pointless.

I like Raven’s Dojo, it kind of reminds me of Dragonball Z on acid or something. I like the characters and I check it on a usual basis for updates, but just because I like it does not mean I won’t keep complaints or criticisms to myself. Unquestioning devotion is for sheep and bitches.

I simply made a statement, I wanted to know if the author was going to touch base on WHY Rodney was so powerful or why Rodney could suffer from such a terrible wound and still keep on going, because I like to know these things. It doesn’t even matter why, magic, intense training, eating a box of cereal from the 60′s, I don’t care.

      • Murch

Rawr! A tough guy, eh….nyuk, nyuk, nyuk.

Seriously, take a breath, dude. The reason I did not want to sound snarky wasn’t because I am afraid to be an asshole, it’s because I understood where you were coming from.

You’re just wrong. Mainly in thinking it would “seem like you were the only one asking this” because it comes up regularly in the comments, but also in thinking that Raven has not already been explaining their extreme powers, as I already laid out above.

And I did not say anything about unquestioning devotion, you mealy mouthed nitwit, I was referencing the NECESSARY practice in fiction reading known as “Suspension of Disbelief.” Step back from questioning the story and wait for it to develop.

And remember, when you throw out a vague question like “why the hell is Rodney invincible,” a lot of people are going to read “but WHY does the yellow sun give him powers?”

        • Murch

Also, in regards to the Superman hate, I think you need to look into the origins of the character a bit. He wasn’t always the end all and be all of everything. You know why it was “leaps tall buildings in a single bound”? Because he couldn’t fly, only leap an 1/8th mile or so.

      • Raven

@Kuehnau I’ve edited your comment the tiniest bit. You can be argumentative without attacking each other. Keep fighting topical not personal, please.

        • InternetNinja

I myself have been asking that same question “How? HOW???” for the last few pages. I can finally put my questions to rest with the assurance of Raven that we’ll get to that. I appreciate comic violence the same as the next guy, and I was only going to be put off if Rave never even mentioned it -if he accepted it as part of the world and kept rolling without filling us in.

Now that I know it will all be revealed in time, it takes the pressure off! Silencio isn’t a comically bad villain, he’s a badass villain who just doesn’t know how to fight Rodney the right way!

  • Tim15

o.0 Wow, this is epic. How is Rodney still breathing with a hole in his chest?

    • Raven

Welcome to the page Tim15!! Rodney is tough as a mother!!! He still needs air, but when the fate of the worlds at stake there’s no time to let basic needs of physiology get in the way!

      • Deyna

Fate of the world? I thought this was about the fate of Rodney and Dornail’s faces. I mean, Silencio is out for revenge, right? Unless that revenge is on the entire world for some reason.

        • Raded_Skull

Something big is still coming their way onto their world (as pointed out in one of the earlier comics), if they die who’s gonna defend it when it comes? Also Silencio seems to be willing to kill a large chunk of human population to get Rosa back, so that factors in as a threat.

  • Hell Tutor

I honestly don’t see hwo Rodney is walking alive out of this.
Also where are the other guys now?
Is a certain someone still making love with a certain machine?

    • Raven

Hee hee. This silencio vs Rodney thing is actually VERY close to popping. Once it does we’ll touch base with the rest of the crew.

  • Murch

Rodney’s super secret weakness? Being mashed into a fine paste with a hydraulic mortar and pestle, which is then mixed with copious amounts of sulphuric acid inside of a specially crafted pressure cooker.

    • Raven

ha ha ha. That… and TV!!

  • Rictorran

I’ve been wondering this for awhile. Is Demonica actually Dead…Un-Dead? Also, Rodeney’s secret of regeneration is Tampons in major wounds!

    • Raven

She’s not dead! Not undead either! Answers on that coming VERY soon.

  • http://www.needcomics.com/Locus/ Adam Black

I grew up watching Looney Tunes, so Rodney shrugging off all this damage doesn’t bug me at all. He and Dornail are, after all, the most cartoony of the RD characters, so it seems perfectly natural to me that he’s doing these things.

    Perfectly natural and perfectly entertaining.

    • Raded_Skull

Yea, but even Rodney has a limit to how much punishment he can take, doesn’t he?

  • Raded_Skull

Dear god, that’s a lot of blood loss (5th panel).

  • Fat Badger

You know Raven. I have never seen a comic like this where I’m excited to learn more about the story aswell as see the rocking and awesome pictures with hilarious jokes! Best Webcomic I’ve seen so far, with Locus on a neat 3rd place thanks for so many hours of fun both of ya!
BTW when can we expect the “Team Silencio” T-shirt to be on sale. -Thinks- I could come up with a bunch of neat designs.

    • Mephil

Locus in third place?? What manner of comic made the 2nd place?

  • D4rk

Eve though I know there’s no way Rodney dies, I too root for Silencio. If he looses he deserves at least that it’s not in a too embarrassing way.
Team Silencio shirt FTW! I’d buy ANY dojo shirt.

    • Fat Badger

Imagine a faded black T-shirt with “Team Silencio” Written with some neat font, over the back in an arc just above the Silencio Hand tatoo just in white. Dunno I’m just more of a fan of motives on the back, or atleast keep it small and to the side on the front. -chuckles.- Or a picture of Fireeyes and the words “Most epic death ever” Oooor one with black beauties. Hummmnh oooooor “mummy hands ‘n shittin’ mittens.” Or one with the “headincolon” illustration. ooor “Redneck robot werewolf”

  • RedneckNinja

The expression Silencio has after getting kicked in the ‘jones reminds me of one of those Punch-Out!! games.

  • Big-Jim

This is awesomely entertaining I need to agree with Adam that it reminds me of Lonney Toons with the violence and no one dying but for maturer audiences and I like how you gave my zombified self dreads I do miss them. Great work.

  • Big-Jim

    Looney Tunes! damnit ….stupid misspelling

  • Aizen the III

is that zombie smoking a bubble pipe?? or is that bubbling?
